I can't find what your current version of the paypal plugin is. Our site has the most current Membership Pro but the extension manager says that the paypal plugin is 1.0 and dated 2010. Just checking to see if it has been updated or not? I'm curious because I also notice that in Joomla's extension manager it reports that Membership Pro is using version 2.24.0 but yet it it still says that version is dated Nov 2012.
For the payment plugin, it's version come from the date it is developed and won't be changed. So don't worry about it, when you use latest version of the extension, you are having latest version of the payment plugin
