Hi
I have set up Event Booking on my web site and it is working well apart from 1 issue.
A client tried to register using a Yahoo email address but the Event Booking component would not accept the registration and said the email was invalid.
I can confirm that the email address IS valid.

I managed to add the client manually but I think this issue needs looking into as I may loose business if clients can't register using certain email addresses.

Hi Chris

Are you saying that users are not being registered with yahoo email? Or when they user that email, they are being registered but not receive confirmation email from the system?

Users are not allowed to register, the system rejects their details, it tells them that their email is invalid.

It seems it was just the one email address as I can't replicate the issue with other email addresses.

It was really strange, maybe just a one off as I have contacted my client and he has told me he has occasionally experienced the same problem when trying to register on other web sites. I don't know what booking system the other sites used, it is doubtful it will be Event Manager, so I am beginning to wonder if its something to do with his email.
How does Event Manager check email addresses to authenticate them?

We just use Joomla core API JMailHelper::isEmailAddress method to validate the email
