Eshop integration into water bike rental template

We are planning a Joomla-based water bike rental platform for which we have selected e4J's Multirent template, e4J's VikRent Items to handle the rentals and e4J's PayFast payment gateway extension for South Africa.

However, we also plan to sell some of the products on the same rental website, in this regard we have the following questions:

1. Will Eshop be compatible with the Multirent template, i.e. what determines the layout of the items offered for sale?
2. I see Eshop also offer a PayFast payment gateway, would this be necessary to handle sales payments, or can we use the e4J PayFast extension?
3. Could we simply have a "Rent" and "Purchase" menu on the Multirent template, where the "Rent" menu takes users to the VikRent Items side of the website, while the "Purchase" menu takes users to Eshop?

Any further advice you may have will be appreciated.

Hello Ralf,

Thank you for interesting in our EShop Shopping Cart extension and submitting the pre-sales questions here. Regarding your questions:

1. Yes, EShop is compatible with Multirent template. You simply install EShop on the site, then create the menu item to EShop pages.

2. You must purchase EShop PayFast payment plugin as an additional add-on to use it on EShop. You can not use e4J PayFast extension in EShop.

3. Of course yes, they are independent. You need to create another menu to link to EShop pages to display products so customers can purchase products from there.

Hope that my answers are useful.

Sincerely, Giang
