How customizable is JoomDonation plugin

I am interested in the JoomDonation plugin. It seems to be a great plugin (really good design and good functionality) but I would need to customize it a little for my needs. So, i am wondering if i can customize it as I need.

Is it allowed to modify the plugins code?

Thank you for interested in Joom Donation, regarding to your question, we would like to answer as below:
As other Joomla extensions, Joom Donation has 2 parts:
- Core functions
- Layouts
Joom Donation was built based on MVC structure, so core functions are placed in "controller" and "model" folders. Actually, i don't think you want to change those functions.
Layouts of Joom Donation like campaigns list, donation form ..etc are placed in "view" folder. And Joomla has feature to allow you to override layouts of specific extension: docs.joomla.org/How_to_override_the_outp...rom_the_Joomla!_core
Lastly, in case you want to customize any feature of Joom Donation, based on support scope, we can suggest the solution or help you in minor customization if you need.
