Subscriptions being changed to Expired after payment

Hello, we have come across an issue where several members are being marked as expired even when we can see they have paid in Paypal.

If we manually change the subscription to Active the status does save initially but a short time later it reverts back to Expired and the member can no longer get access.

Any ideas?

Hi Mike

Edit the subscription record, check to see what's the subscription end date?

Yes, thank you...

We are getting more of these member expired after payment, is this just an occasional glitch or a PayPal issue?
Is there something we can do to minimise them?

Hi Mike

It's very likely a PayPal issue. Please continue monitor it. Also, please go to Membership Pro -> Payment Plugins, click on os_paypal plugin to edit, set Log IPN Messages parameter to Yes

Then if the issue happens again, better submit a support ticket so that I can check the logs + settings to see what could be the reasons of the error

Also, go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, check the Subscription Renewal Behavior config option. If it is set to Update Subscription, please change to Create New Subscription
