Hi looking to buy Edocman for a document archive I'm trying to digitise and I have some questions.
apologies for the question barrage. I come from wordpress and not at all a joomla user. but happy to learn.
Basically have around 200,000 documents to scan from paper to digital and would like a way to upload it then get volunteers to read through the posts and tag etc the files.
They're pretty well organised but wondering a few things before committing that this app is right for me.
Does EDM file viewer embed the file preview into the website or is the only option to show externally via a popup/new window?
I would like to embed a viewer for pdf's using something like Mozilla's pdf.js
Does EDM restrict viewing of files from the public? I don't need any payment gateway but would like to control maybe specific users access before at a later stage drip feeding certain items out. does it support user roles?
Does EDM have ftp uploading option?
How easy is EDM to modify/theme? Can I move shortcode around and make it look the way i want?
Does EDM allow unlimited folders/ sub folders or is there a limit. Will this hamper the ui in the backend at all?
Does EDM have the ability to edit in the front end?
