EDocman User access Question

we are looking at EDocman as potential solution for the following requirement:

We have a large client base. For each client we prepare a number of PDF documents. We need a repository for the documents but each client should only be able to view/download the documents that are prepared for them. They should not be able to see any documents for other clients or any other client information.

i.e. client logs in and sees a list of PDF documents that are for them and them alone which they can view and download.

Is EDocman suited to fulfilling this requirement either in isolation or in conjunction with some other user management extension?

Thank you for interested in Edocman, regarding to your questions, i would like to answer as below:
In Edocman system, one document can be assigned to one or more Joomla user, by that way, only assigned users can see the document at front-end of component.
In your case, you have a lot of clients, and you want one client to be able to see some documents, you can assign him (her) to Edocman documents, thus, only he(she) can see/download document at front-end side of Edocman.
