Error with urls resulting in wrong registrations

Hi
I have recently been getting problems with customers clicking a link to an event and being redirected to register for a different event.

Setting the SEF Router settings to Insert event ID has solved this problem, but I was hoping you could help me to understand why the issue has arisen after so many years of the software just working as expected?

Did something change in an update for Event booking, or was a change in the router settings of a recent Joomla update?

The owner of the website wants me to explain what went wrong, so if you would help me that would be very kind

Hi Mikki

It is just because your new event has same alias with the old event

You can edit that event, change the alias, make sure it is unique (not the same with alias of old event) and the issue should be sorted
