Membership Pro Publication and Joomla Activation was created by Elaine
Hi
As Administrator I want to approve membership subscriptions. At the moment, if I publish in Membership Pro, I still have to activate and enable in Joomla User Management where the New Account Registration setting is currently set to "Administrator" , and then Acymailing is activated automatically. ( I was previously using Extended Reg which had the options to Enable, Approve and Activate all at once, including in Joomla, but I had to manually activate in Acymailing).
I read that Membership Pro only sends user subscriptions details to Joomla once they have been published in Membership Pro (That is, when users go from Pending to Active, only then will Joomla receive their details). So now I want a configuration so Joomla automatically enables and activates after approval in Membership Pro, like what happens in Acymailing. Is this in the Joomla User Management New Account Registration setting which I currently have set to "Administrator"? If I change this setting to "none" it will register users immediately (but I want to ensure I have approved them in Membership Pro first). What settings would you suggest would achieve this?
Thank You, Elaine

Hello Elaine
The question is in your case, what payment method you are using? And what's the subscription status when someone subscribe for your plan?
Let me know so that I can understand your setup and find the answer for your question
Regards,
Tuan

Members are free subscription, they are lifetime plans, and will be Joomla group Registered at registration.
Thank you

I guess you now configure Membership Pro so that when someone subscribe to your subscription plans, they will remain in Pending subscription status until admin approves it? And you want that when admin approve the subscription, their user account will be enabled automatically (You don't have to do it in a separate step)
Is it correct?

yes that is what is happening at the moment, and a single step is what I was hoping to achieve. Is this a matter of getting the configurations right?
Thank You.

Hello Elaine
1. Please go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, there is a config option called Send Activation Email, set it to No
2. Go to Users -> Manage, click on Options button in the toolbar, set New account activation to Self
Then try again, it should work as expected
