Waiting list processing

Does the system allow people to register if there is "space" even if there is a waiting list?

Let's assume there is 1 person on the waiting list for an event that has a maximum of 12 people. If someone drops their group registration (for 2 people) then can the next individual wanting to register do so without having to first go on the waiting list? (I.e., there is technically 1 spot available for registration since the sum of the total registrants plus the number of people on the waiting list is now 11 which is less than the maximum enrollment).

At the moment, we still allow registering for the event event if there is people in waiting list. I guess in the future, we can change it to disable registration even if there is people in waiting list so that it will give people in waiting list high chance to register for the event than the new user

We will have to do it step by step. Right now, I am working to improve waiting list so that when there is space become available (because someone cancel the registration), admin can send an email to a selected waiting list users and ask them to click on a link to process payment for the registration.

I must be honest that waiting list feature is not perfect yet, there are still things we need to improve to make it better

Thanks Mike. The process for waiting list is clear to me, I just get some technical issues and will have to address it step by step

Allow waiting list users to make payment for registration to become actual registrants in the system (when capacity is available) is an important step to move forward. Give us sometime to improve the whole process

Thanks Tuan, I didn't mean to seem like I was pushing you to get this implemented. I realize it will be a few releases before it will be available. It's just there are some unexpected things with wait list processing that I came across while working that I could share with you.
