Can a custom event field be an email?

I've defined a custom field as type'"email". When displaying the event the user just sees a text field and not a mailto:" link.

I may also want to provide a link (not for registration) to meetup or facebook. These are for information since we post event information on our web site and on facebook.

Or should I put these links in the description where I can format them the way I want?

At the moment, we just display the information as text. If you want to display it as a link mailto, you can submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that we can work on small customization to make it works for you

If you want to provide link, just create another custom field and enter full Url of that link and it should be clickable when it is displayed
