PDF Indexer results links

Hi
I have tested the PDF Indexer component on your demo link and when I click on a link in the results list, it takes me to an eDocman page rather than the PDF itself.

If I don't want or use edocman, what does it show me or where does it take me when I click on one of the results links?

Does it take me straight to the PDF? and open the page where the search term is found?

Currently, we don't have demo site for PDF Indexer extension. But, luckily, Edocman has PDF Indexer plugin which is used to index (Read and store) content of PDF files (in Edocman). So we use it for PDF Indexer extension demo.
As you read on our extension describer, PDF Indexer allows you to index and store content of PDF files in specific Joomla directory. And user can use Joomla Search tool to find corresponding documents through content of PDF files.
PDF Indexer is independent extension, it doesn't need Edocman to work along.

So the search results link directly to the PDF files?

Yes, when you click on the Document links in the Search result, PDF Indexer will process to download the documents. It is a bit difference with current demo of Edocman.

And does it open the PDF at the correct page?

Hi,
PDF Indexer won't open PDF files on browser. It allows you to download the PDF files to your desktop. Simply, the component allows to read and store content of PDF files in database. User will search files based on stored content and download corresponding files.
