Shipping by radius and/or suburb

Hello,

I am using another shopping software at the moment but I am having an issue with shipping options available and therefore checking out other options.

I am in Australia and I have a client that needs to be able to charge shipping by radius, for example within 5km it is free shipping, if it is 10km it will cost $5.

The other option is to ship by suburb, postcode does not work, as the distance between the suburbs within the same postcode can be quite large as in km. The other software that I am using can set shipping by postcode but not down to the level of suburbs.

Thank you for interesting in our EShop Shopping Cart extension. Regarding your questions:

1. Currently, EShop does not support the shipping options by radius. However, if you want to have it with EShop, I will take the time to develop it for you in the case you decide to use EShop for your store.

2. EShop supports shipping by postcode, so you can enter multiple post code range (start postcode - end postcode) and define the price for each range. This is already existed in EShop core package.

Thank you for your quick reply.

1. From what you are saying, if I decided to use EShop you will provide me with a plugin (if that is what EShop is using) that supports shipping by radius. So my client can then set where they are and it will automatically pick an area within the range set.

2. It is not postcode I need, I already have that. I need by suburb, which would probably have to work in a way that we manually would enter the suburbs.

Please note I am currently in the process of pricing this website so at this stage I am just sourcing options. This is what I need the shopping cart to do:

Goods within a certain radius, e.g. 20km, would be free of charge delivery. Thereafter, it would be charged on a scale, depending on how far the customer was, e.g. $10 for delivery 21-35kg away etc. Otherwise, it could be sent in the mail or via courier and would be charged on a weight basis. I would like there to be a minimum order quantity of around $30.

Can we achieve the above using EShop?

Another question please, if my client wanted to use BPay as a payment method, would that be possible?

And if so, could you let me know if there would be an additional cost to implement?

I am sorry but what's you want for Radius/Weight shipping and Postcode shipping is too complex and it is not supported by our extension. Our extension does not support BPAY payment plugin now too.

So I think you can not use our extension for your purpose. Please find another extension to meet your requirement.
