OS Property - 2 Installations/Listings on 1 site

Hello,

I am interested in the OS Property component.

Is it possible to run more than one instance of the component in one Joomla installation (maybe with a workaround from your side) or Setup a filter that completely separates two kinds of property listings to be used with two different templates?

What I need to achieve:

A membership site based on JomSocial with 3 types of users:
User 1 (potential buyers/renters): people buying or renting properties
User 2: landlords & agents offering properties for rent
User 3: owners & agents offering properties for sale

One instance of OS Property should only have properties that are for rent, and another only with properties for sale.

Each of these two is going to have their separate template and a different Joomla user group (2. and 3. of the above mentioned) that is only able to post properties for their own instance of OS Property (so either only for properties to rent or only for properties to buy).

They should even have a separate signup form.

Can this be done with OS Property? I would really like to use your component (together with Membership Pro). It would be great, if that were possible.

Hi Mark,
In fact, you can use one OS Property instance for any kind of Property type (Rent, Sale, Lease ..etc) because when you setup menu to Rent properties, you can assign one Joomla template for it while you also can assign another Joomla template for Sale Properties listing.
But we will have small modification in OS Property to setup the pre-defined property type with specific Joomla user group, it's simple and we can help you to do it.
Of course, you can use Membership Pro in this case, because you will able to setup the subscription plans with certain properties that agent can post after subscribe to those plans.

We have another project coming up for a restaurant platform project. Actually what we need for this is exactly an OS Property only for restaurants / cafés / bars instead of real estate.

So I thought this might be an opportunity for you guys for a new product:

OS Restaurants

A component, where restaurants / cafés / bars can sign up (free or for a fee in combination with Membership Pro). Exactly like OS Property. Of course a table booking add-on like OS Calendar were site visitors can book (also free or for a fee in combination with Membership Pro) would be a useful extra together with a map module like the one for OS Property.

I'm sure you could set up this product with no hustle by just changing a few field names and options of OS Property.

I would be happy to be your first customer for this. The sooner the better!
