Auto Reminder and Attachment was created by reeg99
Hi Tuan
I'm using version 1.4.4. I have a couple of questions relating to the following event settings.
1. In the misc section of the event form there is a setting for auto reminder . What is required for this feature to work? I saw in another post you need to enable an ebreminder plugin. I don't seem to have this plugin installed. Is this feature available in version 1.4.4?
2. The Attachment - where do you need to store the files so they appear in the drop down list to be selected? Are the attachments sent with the reminder or with the initial event confirmation? I have the shopping cart feature enabled if that has any bearing.
regards
Reg

Hello Reg
I must be honest that I don't remember anything about version 1.4.4. It was developed years ago and very outdated. I even don't keep that old version on my computer anymore
1. That clearly need to a system plugin like ebreminder to work. Maybe you don't see it because you didn't install it, so try to find the extension package, check to see if there is plugin available, then install and publish it
2. In latest version, the attachments are stored in media/com_eventbooking. Maybe you can try to upload files to that folder to see whether it is appeared on the dropdown? The attachment is used to send to registrant email when they register for your event, not on reminder email
Regards,
Tuan

Thanks Tuan
It was the same, media/com_eventbooking, location used in 14.4 for the attached files. I've not been able to find the plugin for to enable reminders but as you can't attach files to reminders this is less important now (although I could use a rich text formatted email with links to the attachment instead).
One more reason to upgrade and get reminders working!
Thanks

Yes. If you keep using Joomla 1.5, it is hard to get support and also, find an extension when necessary. So please plan to update your site to Joomla 3
