Arbitrary payment option for EShop or Events Book. was created by Darren Whiteman
Hi
On previous websites I've used the Payment Form component to take an arbitrary payment amount for an event.
This allows my client to process a credit card through their WorldPay gateway without using a PDQ terminal or the WorldPay online terminal. Their new website will now use EShop and Events Booking components and not Payment Form. Is there an option on either of these components to do this? I can't find a way.
Many thanks
Darren

Hello Darren
Both Events Booking and Eshop extension support Worldpay payment gateway, so it is possible:
1. For Events Booking, the payment plugin comes with the extension by default
2. For Eshop, the payment plugin is not included, you would need to purchase it separately at www.joomdonation.com/payment-plugins/eshop-payment-plugins.html , look for Eshop Worldpay, it costs you extra 20.68$
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan
Thanks for the quick reply.
I have WorldPay enabled on Events Booking and I have purchased the WorldPay plugin for EShop from you.
I wondered if it was possible to set up a page that allows the customer to input a payment amount themselves and then process the payment with WorldPay as usual. With Payment Form one could create a page that would allow for this, rather than a fixed price set in the admin.
This would allow my client to process a card payment pre-arranged with the customer without the need for me to create a specific product or event for that exact price every time.
Maybe I need to use Payment Form and the WorldPay plugin for this one feature, but I was hoping either Events Booking or EShop would allow the payment amount for a product/event to be entered at the front end by the customer.
Kindest Regards
Darren
