Document Seller - Custom Fields

Hi,

I use the Document Seller which is great.

I want to include some custom fields for shipping costs to the checkout screen.

I have created a MultiSelect field called dms_Shipping with several values for the list and set the other options to show etc but it does not display when checking out.

How do I get the field to display?

I think you are using shopping cart mode in Documents Seller and that's why custom fields are not being displayed (since with shopping cart, users can purchase multiple documents so the system won't know which fields to display

Please try to go to Documents Seller -> Configuration, find the config option Activate Cart Feature, set it to No

Then check it again and let me know if the field is being displayed now

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Yes, disabling the cart feature does now allow the custom field to be seen. Changing the translation from 'Additional fee' to 'Shipping' displays the option I require.

However, with the cart feature now disabled, there is no way for a customer to CANCEL their order or go on to ADD MORE DOCUMENTS so each item has to be ordered individually which is a great shame.

Is it not possible to display the custom fields AND retain the Cart option?

If I use the CART Module, it shows an item in the cart even when the purchase has been backed out of at the payment page, so assume this is held in a cookie. So essentially I also need a cancel order facility or button. Is this possible?

Just thought of another possible option.

Is it possible to add a value for the Country drop down list for shipping purposes?

So that when a country is selected, a shipping value is added to the cart automatically? That would be much better as it would preven incorrect selection of a second field value by the customer.
