Membership pro and Community builder

Hi,

I'm using community builder in a joomla website, where i'm managing the users database of a small french non-profit organisation (150 people).
Users are now subscribing to the NPO annualy, paying small amount of cash or even sending bank cheques.

When they have paid, I just change their joomla group in CB to a custom group I've created, and check a box, which is in custom field created in Community builder, saying they have paid their subscription for 2016 for exemple.
Then, I send them by post or email a receipt from their subscription.

I would like to digitalize that, making them renew their subscription by paypal, and automatizing all the other steps.

Do you think that membership pro is the good tool for that ? Could Membership pro be used with Community builder users ?

Yes. Membership Pro is a good tool to automatic this process. Membership Pro can used together with Community Builder in this case, however, you can even remove Community Builder and let Membership Pro handle everything itself (Community Builder is not really needed in this case)

I do need CB for managing other aspects of the membership, like the restricted area for the members, and the possibility for them of managing and updating their profile.

Can you confirm me that membership pro allows me to automatically update the joomla user group, update some custom fields from CB and send an email containing a personalized email ?

=> Yes, I can confirm that. Emails & Messages in Membership Pro is configurable, you can change it to meet your own need
