limit the number of subscriptions for users

Hello ,
I am need to limit number of subscriptions for users , so if any user subscribed in plan , it is not allowed to subscribe again .
example If user try to subscribe again it show message like "you are already subscribed".
How can I do that please?

Please edit the subscription plan, set Enable Renewal to No

After that, it should work as expected

if I set Enable Renewal to No , will you be able to renew the subscription after the end of the subscription period ؟

If you set Enable Renewal for a subscription plan to no, subscribers of that plan won't be allowed to renew subscription for that plan when their subscription is expired
