I have a pre sales question

When a user signs up can the new user select their own profession. (professions will be listed as K2 categories) So the new user will select a category upon signup.

Can that member then only see their own category/profession when viewing the site.
Other categories with public access will also need to be seen.

The reason for this will be so that we can display specific information to specific people example show an insurance deal to (Black Cab Drivers) and not show that insurance deal to (Private Hire Drivers).

Yes. It is do-able. However, it requires a clever setup :

1. For each categories like that, you will need to create a Joomla group and a Joomla access level

2. Create a custom field to allow users to choose the category when they sign up. On that custom field setup, there is an option to allow you to config so that when people select a category, he will be assigned to the related Joomla group you want

3. Then config K2 categories, set Access Level to the correct level

It is quite confusing. However, I will be happy to setup a sample for you if you purchase our product

2. Let us know a K2 category which you want me to setup (as a sample so that you can understand and setup other categories)
