importing existing (large) database into new setup was created by Mike
Hi there, I work for a member supported .org, we currently have 14K supporting members.
I am looking at this software as a solution as we currently offer no online options to our supporting members. The current membership database is completely off line and is from the mid-late 1990's. (yes, really)
My question is, if we were to utilize this software, is there an option where we could import our existing membership database (downloaded to excel) into this software?

Hi Mike
It should be possible. However, I don't think the system (or any system) could process importing 14K members at one (I think the system will be timed out.
I guess you would have to split the file to smaller files, each time you should only import 1K members and it will goes well
Regards,
Tuan

Thanks Tuan!
one final question, will this software handle a database with >15K records?
According to the documentation we meet all server requirements.

Hi Mike
If you have about 200K members, maybe you would have to worry. 15K records are still small and could be handled by the system
