Synchronize data was created by Maico Boumans
Hello,
Can you please help me to clarify the "synchronize data" option in the configuration. Do I understand right that with this function (if set to yes) you are able;
to sell memberships for access to different components (based and defined by the Joomla usergroups) independently?
with renewal you only update or renew the membership of that specific component?
to sell different memberships to one user with one account?
If so, I presume that the basic group is an "registered user" and that the user can buy other memberships when logged in?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Maico
No, it doesn't work like that. In Membership Pro, one subscriber can have different subscription records, each record can have independent data for first name, last name... fields
If you set the config option above to Yes, when a subscriber subscribe for a new plan, (or renew for his existing subscription), Membership Pro will update all other subscription records data (just data of custom fields like first name, last name...) with the data of his last subscription so that the data can be synchronized.
So basically, you mis-understood the meaning of the config option. Hope it is clear to you now
