Membership Pro works with 3rd-party CC processors?

I'd like to know if we can use Membership Pro with a third-party credit card processor.

In this scenario, a user wanting to make a payment would be transferred from our non-SSL site to the third party's SSL-secure site.

When the transaction completes, the third-party's site would tell our site whether the payment was processed. That would determine whether our site displayed subscription-only content.

Would this work with Membership Pro?

Hi

It won't work with Membership Pro by default. You will need to write a payment plugin for Membership Pro to work with that credit card processor.

That's not an easy task, so if you can use one of the existing payment gateways supported by Membership Pro, that would be better

Thanks, Tuan.

Let's say we used PayPal as our credit-card processor. Do I have the option of using PayPal with Membership Pro as I described earlier? That is:

1. For a non-subscription user, our non-secure site displays an article but (using Membership Pro's {mprestriction} tag) hides the restricted content. The restricted content is replaced with a subscription link.

2. When the user clicks the link, our non-secure site transfers the user to PayPal's SSL-secure site. PayPal collects payment info; verifies the user's account; debits the user's account; and credits our account.

3. PayPal tells our site that the payment was processed.

4. Our site displays the restricted content.

Any problems with this scheme?

Good to hear, Tuan.

I'd like to see some sites that are using Membership Pro in the way I've described. (That is, with a non-secure home site, and relying on a 3rd-party processor for SSL-secure payment processing.) Can you or other users point me at those?
