Article plugin for a buy button

Before I decide to purchase this and unless I missed it, is there a plugin to insert a buy button (or custom button) into an article? Right now I use another component for single purchase to download and it has a plugin which I add: example: {buydownload:2|button-img-src} **uses a custom button I make. I showcase my products in a category with each having it's own article which gives me a lot of design and layout capability to promote items and is also better for search engines than component based content.

if there is no plugin ability for this feature, is there plans to do one and will it be just around the corner? This is a very important feature I need.

Any way of providing an estimated timeframe? ...doesn't have to be exact date as I know things take time but an estimated date, even if it's a month like "December" "January" or other, would give me an idea based on my own development schedule for my new site which would possibly be using this.
