edocman: password protection

Hi,

I'm very interested in purchasing Edocman. I have two questions:
1. When you set permissions to a certain group of members, does it mean that other CANNOT see the documents or does it man they can see but not open/download it? I need to be able to hide some categories/documents from lower use groups (i.e guests)
2. Is it possible to password protect files? I need to have files visible to public guests but that can only be downloaded/opened with a password.

Hi Dave,
1. When you create category in Edocman and select Access level is specific Joomla user group. At front-end, only users in that Joomla group can see the documents of category. Users of different Joomla groups won't able to see that category or documents of that category.
2. Unfortunately, Edocman doesn't have Password protect feature with existing documents.
