Does installation of new language file override ex

Hello,
if I install the language file, e. g. for FR, from the version 2.3.2 installation package, will this override my current existing translation of the previous version?
If yes, how could I reuse my current translation after updating?

Hi Léon

If you installed French language package before, please don't install it again as it will over-write the change you made before. Just use the original language file which you uploaded, no need for uploading it again

But what to do if there are new keywords (tags) that have been added by you between earlier versions and the latest one?
