Thanks for interested in the extension. Here is my answer to your questions :
If the event is free, is there a way to turn of the registration for those events?
=> Yes. When you add a new event, there is an option to disbale registration for this event .
If there are multiple package options for one event, is that doable with this application.
=> The extension support custom fields. So you can create a custom fields called package options (or something like that) so that users can choose that during registration.
