[Events Booking] Site Members? was created by Mark De Lorenzo
I'm shopping for a event planner for Joomla that will primarily host events for a church worship team. Instead of selling tickets to outside users, it will primarily schedule registered site users (band members, stage hands, crew, etc....). Notify them that they've been added to an event. Notify them of upcoming events. Am I looking at the right product with the "Events Booking"extension?

Hi Mark
Evens Booking can only be used for half of the task.
=> That can be handled in Events Booking. Basically, you can create events, then access to Events Booking -> Registrants, create new registration record for the user you want to notify. Then Events Booking will notify him that he was added as registrant in the event (the email message is configurable, of course)
=> This could not be handled using Events Booking. I think you will have to find and use a newsletter extension such as ACYMailing from www.acyba.com/ to notify them about upcoming events

Let me approach this a different way. Might clear up what I'm hoping it will do.
1. Can EB use registered Joomla users for the attendees for an event?
2. Can an EB event creator/owner add registered Joomla users to the event?
3. Can EB notify the Joomla member that they've been added to an event? (I think you've answered this...)
4. Can EB notify the Joomla member that an event that they're registered for is coming up?
5. Can EB host file attachments to the event? PDFs, MP3, etc...
