Event Booking and eShop: how to share account? was created by Robert Gastaud
Hello,
I'm planning to use Event Booking (for training) and eShop (for downloadable and shipped products) on the same website: is it possible to share accounts between these two products, so the customer doesn't need to create two accounts?
Is it possibe to share the cart too?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Robert

The account is shared (basically, it is Joomla accounts), so it could be used for both Eshop and Events Booking.

However, each of the extension has it own cart. The cart could not be combined

Regards,

Tuan

Thanks Tuan, but when I say "sharing account" I mean sharing address and so on. to avoid clients to add twice their personal informations: one time for Events Booking, another time for eShop.

Hi Robert

At the moment, it is just half shared :(. If users register for an event in Events Booking first, then it is possible. However, if users sign up in Eshop first, it is not possible.

Basically, when users register for event in Events Booking, Events Booking will create a Joomla account for him and also update the profile data like address, city, state, country...... That data will be passed to Eshop automatically using an Eshop plugin, and he won't have to enter data in Eshop anymore

However, if he signed in Eshop first, that data won't be updated to Joomla core user profile, thus it could not be used in Events Booking
