OSP Real Estate VS OSP Real Home was created by Greg
Hi there

I have a big project incoming, and I would like to know the primary purpose and difference between the OSP Real Estate Template and the OSP Real Homes Template. Why would I choose one of the other? Is one more 'commercial grade' or meant for different sellers?

It is important that whatever template I choose, allow agents or private sellers to list their homes/property via the front-end, and if needed I can charge for this listing service if needed later on. Can you confirm this feature is available on both (or either) template?

Thank you very much for your advice.

Hi Greg,
OSP Real Estate or OSP Real Homes are Joomla templates, they were designed to work with OS Property. So in essence, they are the same. The difference here is the design structure, and you can see it when you check demo of both templates.
Come back to question about uploading properties at front-end. OS Property allows agents/ owners to upload properties at front-end, but they are only standard properties. And they must pay for upgrading properties from standard to featuread.
OS Property also has feature to integrate with Membership Pro. With this component, you can setup the subscription plans and enter number properties (standard or featured) that agents can upload after purchasing those subscription plans.
Lastly, as i wrote above, those template were designed to work with OS Property, so they will have the same OS Property features. Your work is simple select one of two templates.
I will look for your response.
Sincerely,
Dam

Thanks Dam! Great answer.

So in essence, both templates are the same functionally? Ok in that case it is just cosmetics really. Both templates come with OS Property right?

So for the front end loading, with the base OS property component, users can upload 'standard properties' for free but have to pay to upload a 'featured property'. Can you elaborate a bit on that? Is there a way that users can be charged even for standard property? Can I also change, what the 'sellers' are referred to in the front-end submission section? They may well not be agents.

It will be common for my site that it is not just agents that can advertise, so my listers will want to advertise 1 property for say $5. My project is targeting non-agent sellers as well as agent sellers, so non-agents are not likely wanting to buy a subscription.

Thanks!

Greg

Hi Greg,
Basically, 2 templates have the same functionality, but based one designing ideas, the are some difference. For example, OSP Real Homes template has the Ajax Map search at the top while OSP Real Estate not ..etc
Come back to your question on Adding Property, currently, OS Property has 2 user types: Agent and Owner. Agent can belong to one Company while Owner not. But as i told you in previous comment, OS Property has feature to allow Agent/ Owner to post standard properties without paying anything unless you integrate OS Property with Membership Pro. In that case, agents/ owners must purchase subscription plans before they have permission to add properties at front-end.
Sincerely,
Dam
