Importing Membership Data into Membership Pro was created by Matt Courtney
Hello,
Our organization is interested in using your Membership Pro Joomla Component, however, we need to know if data from another membership web based non-Joomla system will be importable. The membership system we are using currently is Memberize and we can export the data to a MS XLS file with headers.
Things we need to be able to do:
1. Can we import username and password fields as well as all user profile fields so users can log in to their profiles?
2. Can we import subscription begin and end dates so user subscriptions will be current and seamless when and if we transition to Membership Pro?
3. Can we import current active auto-recurring subscriptions, we will be using PayPal?
I look forward to your response,
Thank you.

Hi
The option #1 and #2 are available. The option #3 is not possible. For recurring-subscriptions, it cold not be re-registered automatically. I am afraid of you will need to ask your customers to re-subscribe to these recurring subscription plans
Regards,
Tuan

Thank you for the quick response.
Another question I have is if Admins can manually enter a membership number from the back-end of Membership Pro? I know Membership Pro can generate random membership numbers, but, out current system already has a long list of assigned membership numbers and this is how it needs to stay.
Thank you.

Hi Matt
Unfortunately, it is not possible. Membership Pro will generate auto-increment membership ID for subscribers, and you could not enter these membership id manually

Tuan

Similar line of questions regarding member logins.
I have Access2007 with a login.mdb file containing usernames and passwords; and I need to add a termination date to each record but we will ignore that for now.
#1. Can I use a login process just like I went thru to register to use this site?
#2 Can login look to an .mdb file for authentication?
#3 Can I generate a "register user" response just like I went thru if no username/password matches up; and if so, can each new registrant request generate #1 a temporary login (24 hours) and #2 send me an email with relevant information so that I can update the login.mdb file and send the file from desktop to webhost?
