Can I view files without downloading them? was created by Chris Thomas
I have been playing with your demo and I have a question. Am I able to set your extension so that my site users can view a document right in the browser without having to download the document first? In your demo site, every time I try to view a file, it makes me download it first.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi Chris
Yes, you can. However, this feature can only work with PDF document. Also, when users view the document in web browser, there is nothing can prevent them from downloading it if they want.
Hope it meets your need.

Tuan

Yes Chris. Go here
edocman.joomdonation.org/akeeba-subscription-document
and click on View button to view the content of that PDF document

OK, thanks. That looks good. What I would like to do on my site is have a list of documents like you have in your
table layout
page and people will be able to click on a document from that list and have it open right up in the browser without having to go to another page and lick a view button. Is this possible?

OK, again do you have an example of that anywhere on your demo?

That needs to turn on a config option (Hide Download button) but we don't have it in the demo site, unfortunately
