Events Booking SSL Intergration

1.) Is my understanding correct , that you can switch on and off https usage in the Configuration section of Events Booking?
2.) As I am new on the SSL topic, do you know which kind of SSL Certificate is necessary to support SSL for Events Booking?

=> Yes. You can change a config option in the extension to turn it on/off. Also, in Events Booking, https will only be used on registration form (where users enter payment information to process payment), it is not used on other pages (since it is not needed)

2.) As I am new on the SSL topic, do you know which kind of SSL Certificate is necessary to support SSL for Events Booking?

=> Any SSL certificate which works well on your site will work well with Events Booking. I think you should ask your hosting provider about it

thanks for your quick reply. That sounds all good to me. It looks, as if we found the right solution for us.
One last question: My hoster told me that it is necessary to enter the SSL infos in the .htaccess File. Is this really necessary with the Events Booking component?

Hi Ina

It is not needed for Events Booking extension. Maybe your host requires that setup so that it works with your site. Just follow the instructions of your hosting provider ti setup it

Also, please note that SSL is only needed if you a payment method which allows users to enter credit card information directly on your site to process payment (without being redirected to the payment gateway). If you don't use any payment plugins which allows customers to enter credit card number on your site to process payment, no need for setting up an SSL certificate.
