Hello,

I'm looking for an extension that will support the following functionality:

For a specific article (K2), display a list of downloads depending on the user's access level, displayed in a Joomla Module.

Does EDocman include this kind of functionality, or can it be configured/tweaked to do so?

Thank you

Hi

I think it is possible with some small tweak. Basically:

1. For each K2 article, you create a category in EDocman

2. Use EDocman category plugin to display documents from that category in the K2 article. And make tweak to the layout to meet your need. This is an easy task

So I think you can use EDocman for this project

Regards,

Tuan

Hi,

I've tried the setup as suggested but for some reason the plugin isn't firing when in a CustomHTML module. It works fine in the article text, just not in the module.

Additionally, I'd like to get the module to display on a page by page basis (so one article has all of the downloads associated with it shown only on that page). Is there any way to configure Edocman module to do this? From the docs I wasn't too clear on how the module works.

Thanks for your help!

=> You can edit the module, look at Options tab, set "Prepare Content" parameter to Yes. Then it will work well on custom HTML module

Additionally, I'd like to get the module to display on a page by page basis (so one article has all of the downloads associated with it shown only on that page). Is there any way to configure Edocman module to do this? From the docs I wasn't too clear on how the module works

=> The question is what module you will be using ? Custom HTML module and embed the documents from a category into that module ?

I think that :

1. For each page. you will need to create a category in EDocman

2. Use the setup above, embed the documents from that category into a custom html module. Then assign module to that page

That's how I think you should setup it to make it works
