Username & onetime donations

Hi

I'm interested in the Joomdonations extension for use of a gaming clan site but have a couple of questions.

1) We use Jomsocial on our site and usernames instead of real names, can usernames be picked up automatically by Joomdonations and disable all other fields so the only fields are auto filled username and the donation amount?

2)Can member make one time donations without campaigns being used and it still shows in the donation history lists?

=> Unfortunately, it is not possible. To make donation, users need to fill-in atleast two fields : First Name and Email. However, when users logged in, the data from his Jomsocial profile will be filled in to donation form automatically and they won't have to enter it manually (of course, they can still change it if needed)

2)Can member make one time donations without campaigns being used and it still shows in the donation history lists?

=> Yes, Campaign is optional and is turned of by default. No need for activate campaigns feature if you don't need it. Donors are also displayed in history without requiring campaigns.

Ah that's a shame, is the option to automatically use usernames instead of real names in the lists, history, front and back ends going to be implemented in any future updates?

Yes. I will consider implementing it for future releases of the extension. However, until now, there are not many customers need it. I will wait to see if there are more customers need this feature before decide to implement it or not. Will keep you updated

Sorry but for now, I think I won't implement this feature into the extension. So in your case, users are logged in when they make donation ?

If so, modification can be made to make it works like that. However, It will cost you 50$ for this modification.

So if maybe you will have to find a different extension to save your money (but to be honest, I don't think there is any extension works like that by default)

Yes donation would be only login in site members as it would be used on a gaming clan website for donations towards gaming servers etc.

It's a shame it wont integrate fully with Jomsocial and be getting same feature available in Jomsocial to use the username instead of the user real name as we use that component with that enabled on our site, so users have to be always logged in to use the website.
