Only joomla 3.2.4 is available to me

I went to components and pressed update, only joomla 3.2.4 came up.
Also "write files directly was written as the installation method.

Should I try and do it.

Joomla 3.3.0 requires PHP 5.3.10+, maybe you don't see that version because your hosting has old version of PHP. So Yes, you can try to do it

But as I said before, you should back up your site before upgrade so that in case there are any issue, you can restore to the original version of the site.
