Shop Introduction

Hi,

I want to insert a introduction for the shop..... a sort of welcome and overview. Just a paragraph or two. Where can I add this so that it appears on the shop front page above the categories?

Hello Jeff,
Currently, EShop does not have feature like this. So we must modify into the front-page view to have it. If you want do that by yourself, I will show you the file to edit.

Yes please advise which file and where to edit. Is this on the list of new features? If not I'll add it as this is a must have with some shops.

For now, please edit the file "components\com_eshop\themes\default\views\frontpage\default.php" to add the Shop Introduction there.

I think this is a great feature need to be added to EShop. I will implement to add it, so there is an option to allow shop admin to enter Shop Introduction, then he will choose which page (Front-page or Categories page) to show.

This new feature will be added into next version 1.2.9 of EShop.

Great News! It would be good to have the option of having both intro text and categories on the frontage rather that one or the other.

Yes!
The updates will come soon, may be at this weekend. In the new version, EShop will supports downloadable products, SKU for option and this your feature.

As promised, today I released the version 1.2.9 of EShop with some great new features. In the new version, you have the option to enter Shop Introduction and choose the page (Front-page or Categories page) to display it.
