I have a bit of a challenge with a client and want to see how best to address it. Currently, his process flow is as follows (they are a manuscript editing service)
1) User fills out custom registration form and uploads rough manuscript
2) Edits are made and the user can then download the edited copy
3) User is sent an invoice after downloading
I know this seems backwards in that the customer is billed after the fact, but that is simply how it is with them right now. I am looking for a more cohesive way to do this. Obviously document management, and allowing only a specific user to view and download the editd version is critical. Edocman looks like it can handle that part easily. But my question is, is there any means of charging a client for that download native to Edocman or are we looking at some combination of of Edocman and Docseller? How can I make this as simple as possible maintaining secure document management with the ability to charge for a document and make an invoice that leads to that document transaction. I don't mind buying both components if I can make this happen, what I really want though is minimal administrative tasks and ease of use for the end user.. Any advice greatly appreciated, I am ready to buy, just need to know how to get this done the right way...
