Edocman features to link document in Editor was created by Lionel Charrier
If I were to use edocman, i would have private and public documents and private and public menus to various document categories.
When I insert a document into an article, is the link related to an edocman menu, an edocman category or exclusively to the document.
In other words, when I send a newsletters to a mailing list including registered and public users and this newsletter includes edoclinks to private and to public documents, I want to ensure that the behavior would be:
1) Recipient of the newsletter clics on a public document, his browser opens the site and display the document:
2) Recipient of the newsletter clics on a private document, his browser opens the site and displays the login page:
2.1 If recipient is public, he cannot login and that it.
2.2 If recipient is private, he logs in and depending of his viewing access right he :
either sees the document when he has an access right that is equal or higher to the one of the document
or, when he has an access right that is lower that the one of the document, he is displayed a message saying that he does not have access rights to this ressource.
Thank You

Hi
Sorry but the extension is not flexible like that. When a use try to access to a document which has doesn't have permission to access to it, the system will just redirect him to default EDocman page with the message they are not allowed to access to the document.
Maybe in the future, I will improve the extension to make it works like you said. But it is not possible for now !
