OS PDF Indexer was created by eadaoin
Hi,
I have just purchased OS PDF Indexer, and installed it on a site that Uses DOCMan 2. On this site, I have a number of documents, stored in a heirarchical folder structure.
I have followed the instructions for installing the component at joomdonation.com/install-extensions/os-p...er-installation.html , however I'm not sure I'm understanding it correctly.
In the configuration, I have entered the path to the folder where DOCMan stores all its folders and files:C:xampp/htdocs/j3dm2/joomlatools-files/docman-files/. Within that folder are a number of other nested folders, some of which contain files.
I then clicked 'New Index', selected com_docman as the owners and guest as the access level. I then got the following message: Documents successfully indexed. However, there are no documents in the list. When I try searching for any of the contents of hte documents, there are no results.
Have I missed a stage in the configuration or indexing? Thanks

Hi
At the moments, Documents Indexer doesn't support Docman 2. So that might be the reason causing the issue. If it is possible, please submit a support ticket sending us admin and FTP account of your site. I will try to edit code to make it works with Docman 2 for you.
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
Sorry about the delay with this. I'd like to give that a go, please, as I bought it on the understanding that DOCman was supported.
I'll PM you FTP details now,
Thanks

Hello Tuan,
Is there a resolution to this issue. I also purchased PDF Indexer because of its support for DOCMan. I am using Docman 2.0 and it apparently indexed the documents. However, That's about it. If I do a search it finds documents. However if I click on one of the documents it downloads it instead of opening it for viewing.

Hi Neil
I am working on the integration with Docman 2 at the moment. Might need some small modifications to Docman 2 core code, too. I will update you with the result once I get it completed. Should be in about 2 days.
