Google Checkout Plugin configuration?

Hi

I have now installed the google payment plugin on a Joomla 2.5.8 site and all works okay until i get to configuring the setup for the integration.

I have followed the guide found at joomdonation.com/62-general-discussion/6...n-configuration.html , however that guide makes no sense as you are supplying a http address when it specifically tells you that a https address is required for XML notifications. I dont have a security certificate and dont intend on getting one at the moment so can you clarify how this is supposed to work.

Either an SSL certificate is mandatory (Which I know it isnt as far as google is concerned) or the config is incorrect. I need to get this working asap and my client is breathing down my neck. The clients old site worked perfectly with google checkout without an SSL cert. I get this result every time.

With XML notification, Google Checkout requires the notification URL to be HTTPS. That means you need to have a SSL certificate installed on your site. If you don't have an SSL certificate, it won't work.

In the tutorial I posted in the forum which you seen before, I just use a test google checkout account and that's the reason you see no https in notification URL. When we use it in a live account, Google checkout requires the URL to be HTTPS.

So in this case, please purchase an SSL certificate for your and everything will works properly.

Thanks very much, could you please supply the full API callback URL as in the tutorial it seems to be cut off a bit.
