Mebership Pro - customization doubts

Hi,
Am working on our website named as bidpro.org. for this, we have to complete subscription and paypal task, after doing research on extensions we found Membership pro is suitable
before sending request to client to purchase it we have some following doubts. can you please let us know your valuable thoughts on it..
1) our site is 2.5.8 joomla version. as its mentioned that Membership Pro supports to 2.5 version , so it means it will be also suitable for 2.5.8 right ?
2) after user register and login to the website , he is going to one menu called Plan page on which subscription plans are provided, our site purpose to implement subscription plan is for accessing other pricing application link
therefore here, our idea is say once login user ABC, choosed PLAN-A, he will finish subscription and payment process of paypal and then will come back on site.
At this point we need some way to send email at that user email address to send him link for accessing other pricing application
how can you do this point ?
