Do my customers have to be Paypal members?

I am interested in purchasing your product for my joomla site. I have one question. Many of my clients do not have a Paypal account and will not sign up for one. Do they have to be paypal members or can they just pay with a credit card through paypal?

I tried the sample product, but when I try to check out, it keeps wanting me to sign up for a paypal account. Is this a setting that has to be changed within the configuration?

Infact, this is something related to the setting of your Paypal account, not the setting within the component . Please look at this url for detail :

If for some reason you don't see the Paypal optional setting, that is because your Paypal email address was not confirmed . I have one client had the same problem before, he called Paypal for support and sent me this email :

I called Paypal and the issue was that the email address on the Paypal account had not been confirmed yet so the Paypal Account Optional was not showing on the Website Preferences page.

Once the client confirmed their email address the option showed up and I was able to set it to ON for optional account creation.

Go figure - who knew?!?!

I changed the paypal account on the demo site to the one with Paypal Account Optional turned on. You can go to the demo site to test it again !

Do I need Pay Pal Pro to have a credit cart getway, so clients DON'T have to create a Pay Pal Account?

The answer is you don't need Paypal Pro. When your customers are redirected to Paypal for processing payment, they can choose to pay by creditcard or pay by the balance on their Paypal account .
