Edocman - Category ACL

I have SUCH a desperate need, and I am hoping that your Edocman extension can solve my problem.

I am setting up a client portal website. Each of my clients will have one or more logins to this portal. I want to set up Joomla user groups for each client, assigning individual users to these groups.

I want to be able to create categories for each client that can only be accessed by that client's Joomla user group. Most importantly, I need to restrict the front-end uploading of files to a client's category to only that client's Joomla user group. For example, I have the following clients, each set up as a Joomla user group:

Client-A
Client-B
Client-C

I would then have document categories like:

Client-A-Docs
|_Client-A-Sub
Client-B-Docs
|_Client-B-Sub1
|_Client-B-Sub2
Client-C-Docs

I need to be able to restrict downloading and front-end uploading for categories Client-A-Docs and Client-A-Sub to only members of the Joomla user group Client-A. Similarly, Client-C-Docs would only be accessible (downloading and uploading) to Joomla user group Client-C.

If Edocman can do this, I am ready to buy!!!

Also, is there any refund policy on your extensions?

Hi Rick

Yes, EDocman can do that. To restrict a users of a group to upload Documents to a category, you just need need to allow Create Permission for that group in the category, set Create Permission of all other groups to Denied.
