Conditional fields calculations

Hi,
I'm having some issues with conditional fields. I have several fields that are required fields, however if I change the "parent" field to an option that hides those required fields, I get a validation error asking me to complete those fields (if they are empty). Additionally, the total fee calculation is not correct if I change my parent field to a different option after selecting a child field option that contains a fee.

I should be able to correct all of this with some custom javascript (I've already started working on it), but it seems to me that this should be the default functionality: that all chlid fields are removed from validation and from the fee calculation if their display condition is no longer met.

Is it server validation error or it is client validation error? Could you please send me screenshot of the error so that I can understand it better ?

it looks like a server-side validation error, as it comes up in a red banner at the top of the form after clicking the button to go to the confirmation page. I've attached a screenshot. 

 

Yes. It is server validation error. However, I just tested on my local installation and did not see the error

Could be because something with your setup. Maybe because there are space characters before/after each option in the parent field ?

It is late here now, so I could not check it right away. But if you submit a support ticket, I will be happy to check it on tomorrow morning

I will need to have super user account of your site and link to the form, how to see the error myself so that we can check it
