[29-July-2026] Payment Form 7.7.1 released

Dear customers !

I’m happy to announce the release of Payment Form version 7.7.1! This is a maintenance release focused on improving the internal codebase, security, and overall stability. No new features have been introduced in this version:

- Refactored parts of the codebase to improve maintainability.
- Added additional permission validation in several areas.
- Added missing CSRF token validation where appropriate.
- Strengthened file upload validation to improve security.
- Performed general code cleanup and stability improvements.
- Fixed Date Format validation for Date custom field type when Show Confirmation Step config option is enabled

Please note that Joomla Extension Checking didn't find the update and I had to download and install manually. Same as with the Helpdesk release.

Thanks for the information Alan. Maybe the update information was cached by Sucuri CDN and it takes time to be realized by Joomla. I tried to install an old version of Payment Form on my local computer and Joomla can find the update, so It should be OK now
