Error 403 when submitting form was created by Liam Hanks
I'm getting an error 403 when submitting my form. If I wait a little while and then refresh (and accept the request from the browser to re-submit the form data), it goes through correctly. I'm having a hard time debugging this, because when I turn on the debugging in Joomla, the form submits without any problem.

Joomla 5.4.7
PF 7.6.1
PHP 8.3.3

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Liam

I guess it causes by some wrong anti-spam settings. Go to Payment Form -> Configuration, look at Anti Spam Settings tab, try to empty the following settings:'

- Minimum Form Time (in Seconds)
- Maximum Form Submissions Per Session
- Minimum Payment Amount

I guess you configured one of these options with certain value and it causes the issue. Please check to see if it solves the issue

Regards,

Tuan

I don't think that was the problem, in the end, but it set me on the right path! It seems that it was something to do with the Stripe payment plugin being set to "Special" for Access. Even though I was logged in with a Special-level user account. I changed the plugin, form and menu item to public, and it all works. Mine is going to be a public form, so it's no problem for me, but I wonder if others might run into this issue with limited-access payment plugins.

Anyway, it's all working on my end. Cheers.

The 403 error should not have anything to do with access level of the payment plugin. But if it works well for you now, then it should be fine

You should still check the Anti spam settings I mentioned earlier

Yes, I did. In fact, I hadn't changed the anit-spam settings from the default (until now), but I just reduced the Minimum Form Time to 10 seconds, in addition to changing the access settings. Anyway, everything seems to work now.

Thanks

If you set Minimum Form Time to 10, someone access to the form and complete the form less than 10 seconds (for example, he logged in and data pre-populated), he will get error

Better set it to 0 or small time like 2 or 3 seconds
