What's the best way of letting a visitor know payments are no longer being accepted??
We have used Payment Form for payments for a dinner but that has now passed. The link to the payment form was on the website and sent out in newsletters. Once we stopped accepting payments, I unpublished the form. That stops any further payments, but if someone clicks on a link to the form, they get a rather cryptic: "PMF_INVALID_FORM", rather than anything meaningful, such as "Sorry, we can no longer accept orders for this."
Is unpublishing the form the best way to do this? is there a better way (I could remove urls to the form on the website, but not in newsletters sent out)? If not, could this be something to be added in future: perhaps adding an 'Active' status so that when active, a user is taken to the payment form, but if inactive, they are taken to a message that can be customised?
