SMTP Error! The following recipients failed:

Hello,

Today when my customers began making purchases on my site ( www.tenota.com ) they received this message on the confirmation page:

SMTP Error! The following recipients failed: xxx@hotmail.com

SMTP server error: No Such User Here

You can see a screenshot of the error that I have attached.

Does anyone know what this error means and/or how to fix it?

Does this issue happens with every customers or it is just happens with this user ? The error message means the mail server could not send email to that specific email address. Maybe you can try to use a different email address ?

It only happens occasionally - I can't replicate it either...sometimes it happens with one e-mail address and sometimes it doesn't happen with that same email address.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem?

Then the problem might come from your mail server. At that time, the mail server might not work, the email could not be sent and Joomla throw the error.

In this case, I think we will have to live with it.

Thanks Tuan - So far I haven't had any real problems from this issue so it's one I can live with like you said.
