Hi everyone,
We have published a new tutorial video showing how to set up the connection between OS Services Booking and Google Calendar.
This guide walks you through the full setup process, including how to configure Google Calendar integration, create a Google Cloud project, set up a Service Account, generate a JSON key file, assign the Service Account to your Google Calendar, and enter the required credentials for each resource in OS Services Booking.
The video also introduces the Google Calendar Sync plugin, which allows OS Services Booking to retrieve events from each resource’s Google Calendar and convert them into busy time slots. This helps prevent customers from booking time slots that are already occupied in the resource’s personal calendar.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to:
- Enable Google Calendar integration in OS Services Booking
- Create and configure a Google Cloud project
- Enable the Google Calendar API
- Create a Google Service Account
- Generate a JSON key file
- Share the correct Google Calendar with the Service Account
- Set the proper calendar permission
- Configure Client ID, Service Account email, JSON key file, and Google Calendar ID for each resource
- Use Google Calendar Sync to import Google Calendar events as busy time slots
- Prevent booking conflicts and double bookings
Required fields for each resource:
- Client ID
- Service Account email
- JSON key file
- Google Calendar ID
You can watch the tutorial video here:
We recommend watching the full video before configuring the integration, especially if you are setting it up for the first time.
Please also make sure the Service Account has access to the correct Google Calendar and that all required resource fields are configured properly.
Thank you,
